Village Resources & Services
The Chilkat Indian Village (CIV; a.k.a. "the tribe") has exercised self-determination activities and programs under PL 93-638 contract with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) since 1994. Our governmental administrative offices have managed the following programs under their 93-638 contract:
- Tribal Operations
- Social Services
- Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA)
- Higher Education
- Adult Vocational Training (AVT)
- Natural Resources
- Realty
- Roads Planning & Maintenance
- Job Training and Partnership Act (JTPA)
- Adult Basic Education
- General Assistance Grants Administration
Separate from the above federally funded programs the Chilkat Indian Village has successfully received and managed a number of different grants from other non Bureau of Indian Affairs sources.
